Animal Interactions
Jessica the Hippo
Jessica is an 23-year old female Hippopotamus, who lives near Hoedspruit, South Africa.
What makes Jessica so special and unique, is the fact that she’s a wild animal that interacts with humans in a rather different way than nature has intended.
Jessica's story began in 2000 when she was just a young calf and became separated from her mother during a heavy storm in South Africa's Kruger National Park. The calf was found by a local couple, Tonie and Shirley Joubert, who decided to take her in and provide her with the care she needed
This interaction gives you the opportunity to meet Jessica and feed her some snacks and Tea.

Wild Animal Rehabilitation Tour - Moholoholo
Situated in the shadow of the majestic “ Mariepskop” which forms part of the mighty Drakensberg mountains, our unique Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a home to many of South Africa’s abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife.
A visit to the Centre is “an experience of a lifetime” and will leave you with lasting memories.

Hoedspruit Reptile Center
This Hoedspruit Reptile Centre package offers visitors an exclusive live snake demonstration after having done a self-guided tour of the Centre’s amazing displays.
For the braver guests the reptile center also offers an interaction tour where where you can get an up close and personal interaction with the reptiles and get a great photo opportunity.
Hoedspruit Reptile Centre also offers snake removals to surrounding areas and Kadima was part of that when the Lodge had a big Python that was threatening our young nyala babies, please have a look at the video link below.
Elephant Moments

Kadima is a proud donor of Khanyisa, a baby elephant born in 2019, that is a rare albino elephant and got introduced to the Jabulani family, who excepted her to become part of this great family of elephants.
